DANCE PERFORMANCE BY PEAK SCHOOL STUDENTS ON THE NATIVITY DAY !

Amazing dance performance on a Bollywood number by the Peak school students on their Nativity Day . It was the highlight of the whole show . Kids enjoyed and showed their best moves in front of approximately more than 300 people.

KIDS DANCE PERFORMANCE ON 26TH JAN & 15TH AUG AT INDIAN CONSULATE

Small Kids performed on patriotic tunes at Indian Consulate, Hong Kong. All the kids showed remarkable courage by performing a great show in front of big audience. The Crowd went crazy and started applauding as soon as the kids hit the floor. It was a proud moment for us and parents to see their kids performing so confidently.

Later they got appreciation certificate from Consulate general.

Fun, lively Bollywood classes for kids

Fresh, modern, exciting and exhilarating, Step by Step is the children's dance class you've been waiting for. 

Step by Step is our brand new Bollywood dance class for 4-12 year old children.  These unique sessions are designed to boost your child's coordination, improve their concentration and give them a fun energetic way to develop physical skills with a lot of fun.

Apart from dancing skills, Kids are also exposed to learn new Hindi vocabulary during the classes.

At the end of the course, the children will participate in a short group dance performance, where the parents are welcome to come and cheer them on.

ESF PEAK DANCE WOKSHOP

Fun and Frenzy during our recent Bollywood Dance workshop at ESF Peak School! Little children, and their teachers and parents had great fun dancing to catchy Bollywood tunes!

Research shows that dancing add to a child’s confidence. My six year old daughter, who has been learning dance with me for last few months, took over the role of dance instructor when I needed a break. She has been a shy and timid girl and it was great to see her transformation into a confident and vivacious person!

About

My name is Neha and I am an Indian expat living in Hong Kong.

I have been passionate about dancing since beginning. I received formal training in Kathak, a graceful classical dance form of India.

I started teaching dance more by chance than design - Step by Step was born after I failed to find a good Bollywood dance teacher for my daughter. I eventually started teaching her myself, her friends joined in and soon I had a few eager dancers on my hands! Since then I have taught Bollywood dance in Hong Kong, Bali and Jakarta,

BOLLYFIT 

BollyFit  is an hour long moderate to high intensity dance cardio session on peppy Bollywood music. You can burn up to 500 Calories and more with 5k steps in a single session. We start with a full body warm up and end the sessions with stretching to cool down. We also include targeted aerobic exercises for different muscle groups.

The aim of this class is to get your heart rate pumping. So let loose, sweat it out and just have fun!

If you’re a beginner, you might feel a little overwhelmed in your first class, but thats totally normal. Don’t worry, hang in there for a couple of more classes and the choreography will start easing it out for you! Sometimes it takes a few classes to get in sync with the instructor’s style and pace. Just remember, you’re there to have fun. Be a free spirit, no one’s judging :)

FAQs

  • What should I eat/drink before the workout?

    An apple/banana or 7-8 soaked almonds/ 4-5 walnuts. Eat 20 minutes before the workout.

    Never do cardio exercises on an empty stomach.

  • Will I lose weight ?

    Consistency is key to losing weight. If you take Bollyfit classes daily except weekends, you can lose 2-3 kg in a month.

  • Do I need to follow a certain diet ?

    We recommend regular home cooked healthy meals, with good balance of carbs, protein and fat. Timing is everything - so you need to eat at right times (especially early dinner…..around 7:30 pm), sleep at right times…plus stress free life… all adds up to weight loss.

  • Do these workout help lose fat in thighs, arms, face, belly etc?

    Yes, these are full body workouts and work for your whole body.

  • Can I take a break in-between the class?

    Yes, of course! Take small sips of water, catch your breath and restart. In just 2 weeks, you will see a huge difference in your stamina. 

  • How many calories will i burn in 1 session ?

    The basic formula to calculate this is Total Calories burned = Duration ( in minutes ) X ( met* X 3.5 X weight in kg )/ 200

    *MET = Metabolic equivalent for task is a unit that estimates the amount of energy used by the body during physical activity.

    For example :- Slow paced walking 3 METs, Low impact Aerobic dancing 5 METs whereas BOllyfit high intensity class 8.5 METs.

    Other factors to consider - Age, Body composition ( A person with more muscle will often burn more calories ), Diet, Sleep, streess etc
